Location: Los Angeles, CaliforniaJob Type: ContractCompensation Range: $45 - 50 per hourOur top retail client is looking for a long term social Copywriter contractor for their internal creative studio team. We are looking for a writer that's equal parts advertising creative & content creator to help the world's largest retailer amplify its voice in the cultural conversation on social media. You'll be part of a team of storytellers that entertains and informs everyday people on how our client can help them save money & live better. You'll also have a lot of fun & create content that brightens days & builds portfolios.Responsibilities:
Work closely with a partner (art director/designer) to develop large numbers of organic content concepts that address the needs & mandatories stated in each creative brief.
Write scripts, post copy (captions), supers & more.
Write for different tonalities (ex. Funny, heartfelt, informative, earnest, inspiring, etc.)
Help find suitable third-party content creators/influencers to bring concepts to life when necessary.
Draft production briefs to guide third-party content creators/influencers, production teams & agencies.
Help monitor & manage creative production from concept to completion.
Maintain a working knowledge of client's brand voice, channel strategies & best practices & develop content that adheres to all three.
Follow standard agency processes for creative development, including submitting all work in progress to team leads for approval & presenting all creative to internal stakeholders.
Help develop creative presentations to aid internal sell-through.
Implement feedback from creative leads & internal stakeholders.
Maintain a sharp eye for detail and deliver work free from errors.
Maintain an extensive knowledge of current trending content on major social channels.
Develop strong collaborative relationships both within the creative department & elsewhere in the organization.
Attend all necessary meetings.
Use critical thinking skills to translate strategic marketing initiatives into informative, concise & compelling creative solutions.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Journalism, creative writing, advertising, or related field.
Portfolio (website) of natively social branded content (paid and/or organic)
Command of how the language changes in different social media channels.
Presence on major social media channels & experience creating content for them.
Experience developing copy concepts/campaigns.
2+ years of experience in copywriting.
Experience writing copy & creating content for retail brands.
Skills:
Writing
Content Management.
Experience copywriting for digital properties.
Work history that includes creative agencies or content studios.
