SENIOR PARK AIDE (SEASONAL) – SANTA CRUZ DISTRICT / HENRY COWELL REDWOODS STATE PARK / ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES

(Applicants may obtain verification from the CalWORKs program).” The reporting location for this position is at the Santa Cruz District Office in Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park, Felton. This position will work under the direction of the Permanent Personnel staff/or Administrative Officer II. We are looking for a self-starter who possesses good prioritizing and communication skills, and would be comfortable working in a fast-paced office setting while working well as part of a team. The Senior Park Aide will act as administrative support for the personnel program of the Santa Cruz District Office and shall provide professional customer service to all departmental employees. The Sr. Park Aide will also provide basic clerical assistance for the district. Typical tasks include assisting the district timekeepers with all aspects of the timekeeping program, the district housing program and performing general clerical duties for the personnel office. The incumbent will work an alternating work schedule of 3 days one week and 4 days the next, 8am-430pm. This position may work up to 1500 hours within 12 consecutive months. This position is designated as not telework eligible. The selected candidate is required to submit to a background investigation process utilizing Live Scan fingerprinting prior to appointment. Possession of a valid driver’s license of the appropriate class and a safe driving record as documented by the Department of Motor Vehicles within 60 days prior to appointment. (A safe driving record is one free from convictions in the past two years for repeated moving violations or a single serious violation, such as drunk driving or reckless driving.) Incumbent works in an office environment and will sit and work on a computer for most of the time. This position also requires standing, walking, bending and stooping along with minor lifting.
