Job Description

The purpose of the internship program is to provide the university student with an opportunity to develop professional skills, gain practical knowledge, and experience working life at a global risk consultancy.

Project(s) the intern would be working on:

• The successful candidate will support the delivery of daily reporting, personalized service, special watch and monitoring on behalf of clients’ global interests utilizing open-source research. The candidate will also be trained to use Seerist – the only analytics solution that augments AI (Artificial Intelligence) with on-the-ground geopolitical risk analysis – and will utilize the platform daily to support Risk Consultants within Control Risks ONE.

Requirements

Knowledge and experience:

• Currently enrolled in a postgraduate degree program OR enrolled in an undergraduate degree program with 18 months or less before graduation date.
• Student of Political Science, International Relations, Intelligence Studies, Economics and/or Organized Crime/Public Security/Terrorism
• Ability to write clearly, concisely and authoritatively to tight deadlines
• Proven track record of using open source and publicly available information in conducting research
• Keen interest in global security and risk, anti-terrorism, transnational crime and compliance
• Preferred: Experience in Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
• Preferred: Experience working with big data and artificial intelligence solutions
• Preferred: Proficiency in Spanish, French, or languages other than English helpful

Compensation: Undergraduate students earn $19/hour. Graduate students earn $22/hour.
