Description

To fulfill the duties of a Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Specialist

Duties

Assist with developing, testing, implementing and maintaining desktop, server and mobile GIS applications and workflows
Document spatial workflows, procedures, and applications
Assist with the design, construction, management, and documentation of GIS datasets
Assist with management of IT infrastructure that supports GIS platform
Assist with mapping or analysis needs
Respond to GIS service desk tickets
Support NY State emergency response efforts

Mandatory Requirements

• Experience (9+ Years)
• Works in the field of Information Technology, experienced in the usage and support of a collection of development platforms, technical architectures or business applications and products that run on those platforms - beyond that of a Programmer.

Requirements

• This is an 100% Onsite
• 60 months of mapping and spatial analysis experience using ArcGIS Desktop/Pro
• 36 months of experience developing data ETL workflows using one or more of the following tools: Safe Software Feature Manipulation Engine (FME), Oracle Data Integrator, SQL Server Integration Studio, ArcGIS Data Intereoperability Extension.
• 36 months of experience configuring and administering Esri-based web mapping applications for browser or mobile based solutions
• 12 months of experience automating tasks using Python
