Summary:
The GIS Analyst works as a member of the GIS team and researches, gathers, and analyzes GIS data in support of engineering projects, and produces a variety of high-quality maps, reports, and analyses. The position works under general supervision. This work involves collaborating with engineers, project managers, and other GIS professionals. This position may design, administer, and maintain spatial databases and configure Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and software. This job requires an intermediate competency in ESRI software, analytical thinking, a competency in statistics and analyzing numerical data, good communication skills, the ability to be self-motivated and to prioritize multiple projects.
