Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Analyst with deep domain knowledge in the Oil & Gas industry to drive business performance by providing analytical insights, identifying opportunities for operational efficiencies, and acting as a key liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in upstream, midstream, or downstream operations, and a proven track record in business process modeling, data analysis, and solution delivery.


Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, document, and analyze business requirements across exploration, production, refining, and distribution processes.


Conduct detailed analysis of current operations to identify improvement opportunities in areas such as asset management, supply chain, logistics, and regulatory compliance.


Translate business needs into functional and non-functional requirements for IT and software development teams.


Work closely with cross-functional teams (Engineering, IT, Finance, Operations) to design and implement data-driven solutions.


Support the implementation of enterprise systems like SAP, AVEVA, OSIsoft PI, or similar industry tools.


Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation including business process models, workflows, user stories, and functional specifications.


Perform gap analysis and contribute to business case development for process and technology improvements.


Provide subject matter expertise on industry best practices, compliance standards, and digital transformation strategies in Oil & Gas.


Support QA and UAT phases by developing test plans, test cases, and facilitating stakeholder acceptance.


Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field. MBA or relevant master's preferred.


5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, with at least 4+ years in the Oil & Gas industry.


Strong understanding of oilfield operations, hydrocarbon accounting, SCADA systems, production reporting, or pipeline management.


Proficiency in business analysis tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Visio, Excel, Power BI, Tableau).


Experience with ERP and industry-specific solutions (SAP, Maximo, Oracle EBS, etc.).


Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.


Exceptional communication and presentation abilities.


Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in digital oilfield initiatives, IoT in energy, or AI/ML analytics for predictive maintenance.


Certification in Business Analysis (CBAP, PMI-PBA) or Oil & Gas (SPE, OGCI).


Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or SAFe methodologies..
